Ghee Jangri is made primarily from urad dal (black gram) batter. The soaked dal is ground into a smooth paste and piped into beautiful circular and spiral patterns directly into hot ghee (clarified butter). Once fried until crisp on the outside, the jangris are soaked in sugar syrup flavored with cardamom and sometimes rose water or saffron.
